Chang Bai Hui (Patty Hou) comes from a wealthy background. So it comes as no surprise that her tongue has been trained since childhood with the best of cuisines. However, on the night of her graduation, her father suddenly passed away and the family facing bankruptcy, leaving her penniless. Suddenly thrown into the harsh reality of the real world, she looked for jobs, each ending up in disaster. Bad luck fell on to her one after another.
One day, on the way back from another failed job interview, she was drenched in the rain after failing to hail a cab (are those people really that heartless to a drenched girl or what!). She finds shelter at a quaint restaurant, Little Bear.
There, the delicious food prepared caught her taste buds. When she tasted the head chef’s recommendation, the Golden Soup, memories of her father was brought back to life. This led her to ask the owner of the restaurant to work there.
However, the person in charge of the kitchen is not an easy person to please. The head chef, Fang Zhi Tian (Vic Zhou/Zhou Yu Min) would not agree. However, after much persuasion by the owner and backed by many others, he relents on one condition: She prepares a meal that the customers would enjoy the following day.
